Finishing: What We Do

By now you know that we have a professional finishing department waiting to create you a custom piece of furniture any color your heart desires, but do you know all the options we have to offer?

Stain
We are proud to offer our customers and extensive line of General Finishes Water Base and Oil Base Stains. In our store, we have samples of all the colors of stain we carry, on each of the different types of wood our manufacturers use in their furniture. You'll be amazed at the difference one color on alder can look on maple, pine, oak, or parawood. While we don't guarantee a perfect color match for your cabinets or wood flooring, we are confident you will find a the perfect color to compliment your home.

Paint
Choose any color under the rainbow- we use high quality Sherwin Williams paint for our furniture. We do also carry General Finishes Milkpaint, with a variety of colors for any interior style.

Rub
We sand the furniture in various degrees to get a rubbed look. Go light for a few edges, medium for all edges, or heavy for all edges and some flat surfaces. Rubbing creates a more aged, vintage character to your furniture.

Distress
Infusing the furniture with even more aged and antique style is done with the distressing of the piece. Chips, slits, and dents are artfully created for an older look that may mimic a family heirloom.

Whatever technique you choose to go with, know that our Finishing department has been servicing our customer with the top of the line custom furniture finishing for 6 years and we cant wait to continue giving people their own unique furniture in the future.
